I've been "boo-ed"

My daughter Holly, "Boo-ed" me. Now I get to pass along the Boo love! Here is how it works. . .

Go to as many friends as you want and tell them they've been "B00-ed". Have them link back to your blog to pick up their Halloween Treat (picture) and tell them to Boo their friends. PBS Palin Vote

This is for all of my fellow Conservative/Republican readers....

PBS has an online poll posted asking if Sarah Palin is qualified to run as the VP. Apparently, the left wing knew about this in advance(of course, PBS is so liberal!) and are flooding the voting with NO votes. The poll will be reported on PBS and picked up by mainstream media. It can influence undecided voters in swing states.
Please do two things --

1) Click on link and vote YES!

2) Then send this(or blog about it!) to every McCain-Palin supporter you know, and urge them to vote and pass it on. The last thing we need is PBS saying their viewers don't think Sarah Palin is qualified!

Happy 29th Anniversary Honey!!

"29" years ago today Rick and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple. I can't believe it was that long ago! We have 5 beautiful children and 3 beautiful granddaughters to show for it.

I would like to congratulate Mark on completing his Associates of Liberal Arts Degree this summer from Del Mar College. He studied hard, made wonderful grades, and was nominated
and accepted to the Honor's List.
He is now attending Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

Ike Evacuation!

I'd like to thank Holly and Joey for letting us evacuate to their house last week when Hurricane Ike was nearing the gulf coast. I am grateful that we were spared here in Corpus Christi but I am sorry for those in Houston who have lost so much. It's really tricky living on the coast because you never know where the hurricane is exactly going (it had been projected to hit us) so you have to be prepared- boarding windows, checking supplies and food and packing all your valuable pictures and things. It's a lot of hard work and then you don't even get a drop of rain. I am happy though that we had a 4 day weekend to got to visit our family in Dallas. Tara was able to come on Saturday morning and we were all able to spend the day together. Hurricane Ike went through Dallas on Saturday though so it was stormy outside most of the day. We did venture out in the evening though and played some laser tag. It was Aubrey and Ella's first time as well as mine. We had a lot of fun!!

Sarah Palin for VP!

Last night I watched the Republican National Convention and really enjoyed Sarah Palin's speech. She is such a breath of fresh air and I feel is a real straight talker. I feel excited about the election again! If you didn't get the chance to watch it, you can read about it or watch the video HERE. The second picture is of her with her husband and 4 of her children. Austin, Taylor and I went to Dallas to see my girls!! My daughters' Tara and Holly (and her family) live there. Tara's birthday is Aug. 1st and I was glad we could be there for her birthday. We had lots of fun and I am sad to be back home. Here are some pictures we took while we were there.
